Private Gyropod Vineyard Tour

Discover the vineyard in an original way. Go with Vincent, the Winemaker (in person) for a Segway loop in the family vineyard. We favor small groups (6 maximum) in order to adapt the visit to your wishes and desires ... You will discover, through this walk, the history of Chinon, its town, its appellation, but also our philosophy of viticulture in through the notion of terroir. Vincent will share with you family anecdotes and present his vision of the winegrower's profession to you.

Obviously these walks include stops in the vineyards, a tasting, but also the visit of the cellar always in Segway!

Meet at 10am for a stroll through all the vineyards of the family estate. You will be lucky to be welcomed in the heart of the estate, in the old family farm to go back in time and retrace the history of the estate. You will discover a small beautiful village with its priory (still active) in the heart of a vineyard located on the plateau of Chinon.

For lunch under the vine pergola two options are available to you:

Gastronomic meal made by a Chef de Chinon in food-wine agreement (25 € per person)
bring your picnic (barbecue available)
The ride will resume crossing the hillsides of the city that run alongside the castle, to reach the rest of the family vineyard in which to taste and discover sparkling wines will await you.

Finally we will end with a cellar visit, on foot or always on a segway for the most motivated

The program :

Getting started with the device in the parking lot (10 min is enough to familiarize yourself with the machine)
20 km loop by Segway in the vineyard (8 km in the morning and 12 in the afternoon)
Several stops are scheduled along the route to present the vineyard, the terroir of Chinon and the history of the region.
Tasting of 6 wines in the heart of the family farm as an aperitif with local products.
Visit of a vine planter
Discovery of some emblematic places of the Chinese terroir and the Histories of Rabelais
Taste in the middle of the vines accompanied by bubbles or grape juice
Visit the truffle farm and presentation of the truffle culture
Commented winery visit and tasting of a wine in a vat, discovery of the winemaker's work in the winery
Wine tasting on tank and trials during the year
An old vintage will be tasted to end the day in the heart of the contemporary art gallery
